Kuon is Rino's dog therapy partner, after seeing some boys complain that Kuon was "flithy" Rino immediately sympathized with her and chose her as her partner. At first Kuon and Rino began to get along well until Rino spent several days looking for her sister and ignoring Kuon. Kuon became vicious and violent attacking Rino and tearing apart her apartment. With Kazusa's advice Rino continued to care for Kuon and slowly Kuon returned to her loving self and Rino was able to hear "the voice to her heart".
