Kamatari is a member of Juppon Gatana who is in love with Makoto Shishio. His weapon of choice is a large scythe with an attached ball and chain, a very heavy weapon. While he has the appearance of a female he is infact a transvestite. While he is loyal and high spirited he fights the fact that he is not as powerful as Soujiro and other members of the Juppon Gatana, not as intelligent as Houji, Shishi's tactical adviser, and not as beautiful as Shishio's lover Yumi.
Kamatari looses a fight against Kaoru and Misao during the battle of the Juppon Gatana. After Shishio's defeat, according to Chou, he becomes a spy for the Japanese government overseas seducing high ranking foreign officials.
