Inukashi, otherwise known as Dogkeeper, is one of the denizens who live outside No.6. Raised by a dog, she now runs a hotel where s/he rents out dogs to the tenants, allowing them to keep warm in the winter, though s/he also engages in an information trade. She has a strong bond with dogs, particularly the dog that was her mother, going as far as to try to kill anyone who would insult her memory. Though her relation with Nezumi is antagonistic on the surface, the two have come a little closer since Shion has appeared.
Their sex is never revealed, however it has been hinted quite a bit that Inukashi is female.
Dogkeeper often has Sion help her scrub and clean the dogs, and seems to get on with her well. Like Nezumi, Dogkeeper is very androgynous in appearance, with long hair that suggests a more feminine character.
