Alucard is a vampire, but of one from a more powerful race of vampires, a Shinso. He once attempted to wipe out the human race in seven days. By absorbing numerous ayashi and monsters, gaining their powers, he became a huge monstrous being without equal, changing his body forsaking his human form. Alucard is known to be the oldest vampire in existence, and the most powerful monster of all time, as he is shown to have a powerful aura long after his death. It was only the powers of the Three Dark Lords that could stop him from destroying the world.
