Escad grew up with Irwin, Matilda and Daena. In early childhood they were all very close friends. However, when they were kids Irwin and Matilda ran away from the temple and Escad had went searching for them, cursing Irwin for kidnapping her. When he finally found them the first thing he saw was Matilda laying motionless on the ground with Irwin right beside her. After seeing everything as Irwins fault he set out to find a sword that could kill a demon, namely, Irwin. He sought after the Mana Sword soon enough so he could stay a step ahead of Irwin, as he believed Irwin was after it also.
