Nicholai (Japanese: Kiyo) is a Pokemon Trainer in Hoenn who is obsessed with short pants and cosplaying as Pokemon. Nicholai likes to wear Pokemon costumes he believes that his costumes allows him to know what a Pokemon feels. In addition, the costumes helped him blend in with wild Pokemon.
He is May's first opponent in a Pokemon battle. His team consists of Mudkip, Zigzagoon, and Zangoose.
