Kagerou is Ushitora's older brother. Unlike Ushitora, Kagerou never had the courage to stand against their father, even though he doesn't approve of his ways and decisions.
Although appearing cold and emotionless, Kagerou reveals a softer side when he meets Nao.
In volume one, Ushitora mentions to Masato that he has a mellow older brother who he likes.
In volume two, Nao tells Kagerou that even though he tries to hide it, she knows he is suffering because he has the same eyes as Ushitora that reveal his despair and pain.
