Kotsubo is the physical education teacher at Yokai Academy and is a kraken. Mizore once confessed to Kotsubo she liked him and he takes advantage of her, thus she freezes him. When he returns, Kotsubo effortlessly attempts to pin the injuries of two students on Mizore and tries to kill her, but Tsukune intervenes and defeats him.
