Before you can use any of the cheats you must beat the first boss. Then pause the game and enter one of these:
Double Weapon: UP(x2), DOWN(x2), LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, Square, Triangle. To this power-up for player two, press UP(x2), DOWN(x2), LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, Square, Triangle, Select, Start.
Laser Weapon: UP(x2), DOWN(x2), LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, X, Circle. To use this power-up for player two, press UP(x2), DOWN(x2), LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, X, Circle, Select, Start.
In-game Reset: Push L1 + R1 + Start + Select at the same time.
Game Code for Gradius III only: While in game play pause the game and press UP(x2), DOWN(x2), LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, Square, Triangle only can be used a number of times.
