Super Bubble Bobble graphics: Enter HCICD as a password.
Ninety-nine lives: Enter BACCF as a password.
Borrowing lives: Begin game play in two player mode. Press Start, Select when a player runs out of lives to borrow a life from the player that is still active.
Best ending: Surround the enemy in the final level with bubbles, then press Start, Select, Start to bring a second player into the game. Then, pop the bubbles to see the "Happy Ending". This will also enable the sound test option.
Stage select: Stage Select (sort of): After entering a password and selecting the number of players, the stage number appears on the right side. Push the A and B buttons to change this number and pick a stage. You can't select a stage higher than the one the password you used was for. Use the code for stage B2 (DDFFI) to pick any stage except the final boss.
Late Stage strategy: When the enemies start breaking out of bubbles so fast you can't pop them, it's better to blow the bubble when you're so close to an enemy you're practically touching it. It'll die instantly if you time it right.
Stage 99 tip: In Level 99, do not beat the level, if you do, you will go to a boss and when you beat him it will say bad ending, find the crystal and gives you the password to level 99. Here's what to do: In the world, you will see a crystal, get it or it will disappear!!! Then you will see a door, get it or it will disappear! It's harder to get the door because a guy is right on it. You will go to A0, then A1, A2, A3, A4, B0, B1, B2, and then the boss. it's the same boss except you have to hit him 80 times instead of 60. Even worse, you have to beat him on 2 player and BOTH of you have to stay alive! Then you've beaten it.
When you beat the last boss, if you wait through all the credits you will get a password for Super Bubble Bobble These are passwords for the Super Bobble Bubble levels.
