If you want a decent ship right at the start of the game then come out
of the game and use DOS to enter the STARCON2 directory. Type:
RENAME HUMAN.SHP HUMAN.SHP
RENAME CHMMR.SHP HUMAN.SHP
RENAME HUMAN.SHT HUMAN.SHP
More Money:
It's worth paying to repair many items before you sell them,
as the cost of the repair is much less than the increased
value of the item. Longswords are a good example of this.
